You should be chuffed to bits with that improvement. It will make you quicker no doubt estimating time diff on that is vvv difficult. If flat course then any increase in watts at your speed is massively taken up by increased wind resistance. Hilly course (like wales) perhaps gives you more. Whatever - that sort of increase is a great sign. I'd be careful about setting your target as a set % increase on your absolute watts since it will get progressively harder as you taking a percentage of an ever bigger number. I would look at bolstering some of your shorter numbers - eg CP 5 ... especially with the short sharp hills on the wales course. Look forward to racing you there. Fingers crossed for a SUPER tough swim ;o) only kidding...
Great improvement, Nick! I would hardly say I'm "overshadowing" you with these kinds of power numbers! I may blog more, but you are definitely the better cyclist ;)
Like you, I've seen definite improvements in my cycling - and I'll find out just how much when I do IMLP in 26 days!
Cheers Steven, am happy with progress and as you say the higher it gets the harder the increase is to come by, will just have to try harder, looking forward to Wales, be good to catch up, enjoy Epic Camp.
